New Quartet Put Pen=To-Paper for Hemsworth
Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division club Hemsworth Miners Welfare have made a handful of new signings ahead of 2020/21.

Goalkeeper Brett Souter, defender Jack Wilson and midfielders Josh Wright and Ben Walker have all put pen-to-paper for Hemsworth.

 

He joins us from Northern Premier League Division One North West side Ossett United where he was first choice for most of last season.

 

Souter previously represented Ossett Albion before the merger, playing over 100 games, and also had spells with Shaw Lane AFC and Sheffield FC.

 

Souter (pictured) will take on the role of being Hemsworth`s new club captain.

 

Centre-half Wilson joins from league rivals Nostell Miners Welfare where he spent last season.

 

Wilson, can also play at left-back or central midfield, signed for Nostell in September 2019 from Worsbrough Bridge where he progressed from their junior teams.

 

Wright re-joins Hemsworth for a second spell after a year out from football.

 

Before that he was player-manager of Worsbrough Bridge and previously turned out for the likes of Ossett Albion, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Staveley Miners Welfare and Goole AFC.

 

Central midfielder Walker arrives from near neighbours Athersley Recreation, who he signed for in September 2019 from Thackley.

 

He started his career with Sheffield Wednesday and went on to play for Guiseley AFC, Ossett Albion and Emley AFC.
