Morton told https://www.cumedia.co.uk: “This was a very tough decision to make, but not one I have made overnight. I've been thinking it through for the past couple of months now. But I can look back on so many special memories.

“There's the first game for me and manager Terry Anderson against Nuneaton Griff, the FA Vase replay against Bromsgrove Sporting was a bitter sweet moment, but the best memory of all is meeting so many great people, and earning a great mate in Terry.

“He is an unbelievable manager and I feel we worked well together. We've become great friends and that won't change. The club is in great hands.”

Anderson said: “I am absolutely gutted to lose Luke. He has been with me for five years and I couldn’t have done it without him!

“He is a big loss to myself and the club, but he felt it was the right time for himself to leave. I would like to say massive thank you too him for everything he has done”.
