Simons
is a former player-manager of Rockleaze Rangers in the Gloucestershire County
League as well as managing Toolstation Western League Premier Division outfit Chipping
Sodbury before stepping down in September 2018 due to work commitments.
Manager
Danny Greaves told https://www.weareba11.com:
"I'm delighted to be able to announce Neil Simons as the new assistant
manager at the club. I have known Neil for a number of years now. He has
silently assisted us before as he carried out a number of scouting duties in
2018/19 while we were in the Premier Division (coinciding with the rare games
we won!).
“Neil
is an extremely hardworking, enthusiastic man, who will bring different
qualities to the management team. I know he will give everything to make this
club a success. I'm thoroughly looking forward to working with him and the rest
of the management team to try and do what will be extremely difficult, and
that's bettering what we did this season."
Simons
commented: “I am honoured to be joining a club of Frome Town’s stature and I am
thankful to Danny Greaves for presenting me with the opportunity to do so. It
is undoubtedly a massive club with a tremendous history, and I am looking
forward to helping Danny and the team progress on the field, and assisting
where I can off the field, to bring future success to the club”. |
