The initials NKF stands for the National Kidney Federation, and the club`s aim when formed in 2009 was to raise awareness of the charity.

The club, who played their home games at BetVictor Southern League Premier Division Barwell`s Kirkby Road, has thanked all past and present playing and coaching staff, committee members past and present and not least the supporters who have been with the club through some extraordinary experiences.

The club has been on a fantastic journey over the past eleven years, through Leicestershire Sunday then Saturday football and latterly via the Midland League.

The club won five trophies and secured FA Vase status. However, a lack of volunteers and committee members has contributed to the decision to call it a day.
