French joined the AFC Sudbury academy at the age of 16 and by the age of 17 was making his first-team debut at right-back.

He soon became a fans favourite with some impressive displays.

He has been earmarked by Bradford manager Gary Bowyer as a key part of his bright new team.

Academy director Danny Laws said told http://www.afcsudbury.co.uk: “Tyler has all the attributes to make it at the highest level and his development is one I am personally proud off.”

French added: "I am over the moon. It is all quite surreal. As soon as Bradford got in touch and I was given the opportunity, it was a no-brainer.

"Having home crowds of 15,000-plus is fantastic and I cannot wait to get in front of the fans and show them what I am all about".
