Twenty-five-year-old Mitchell (pictured) joins from SkyBet League Two returnees Notts County on a two-year deal. He is currently away on international duty with Grenada, as they attempt to qualify for this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup. The deal is subject to the completion of a medical upon Mitchell’s return to the UK, following his international duty. Mitchell had been with County since August 2021 after joining for a fee from Chesterfield. He had joined the Spireites from King`s Lynn Town, where he had been since October 2020. He is a product of the Leicester City reserve and academy set up. He had a successful season with Leicester's under-18s in the 2015/16 season, as well as appearing for the reserves. When he finished his scholarship with Leicester, he was offered a contract but a year later, he was released when his contract expired and eventually joined Nuneaton Borough in December 2017. In November 2018, he moved to Coalville Town and had a brief spell in the National League South with Dartford. He debuted for the Grenada national football team in a 5–0 friendly loss to Panama in October 2017 and scored his first goal for Grenada in a 4-2 defeat to Belize in March 2018. Dale head coach Jimmy McNulty told https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk: “I’m absolutely delighted to secure the signature of Kairo. “He was our number one target in that area of the pitch, but we had plenty of competition for his signature. “He is another player that I believe has Football League potential and has already gained good calibre National League experience. I’m really happy with his addition.” Johnson joins Dale from League Two side Stockport County. The 18-year-old midfielder joins on a season-long loan deal. Johnson becomes Jimmy McNulty’s third summer signing and can’t wait to get started. McNulty said: “Cody is a really good young player. “He’s an exciting prospect that I know Stockport think a lot of. After watching him, we think he will be a brilliant addition to our squad, and to challenge competitively for places in our team this season.” Johnson is a product of Stockport’s academy, having risen through the ranks before signing his first professional contract in April of last year. He made his County debut in February 2022, following time on loan at Stockport Town earlier that season. After 3 appearances in cup competitions for the Edgeley Park side early last season, he joined National League North club Banbury United on loan for the remainder of the campaign, making 19 appearances.
