The 20-year-old moves to The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium after the expiration of his contract with SkyBet League One side MK Dons, concluding his long-standing affiliation with the club. Having joined Dons at a young age, he progressed through its academy ranks and signed a professional contract in August 2020. He made his debut in the EFL Trophy against Southampton under-21s in November 2020, and went on to make 3 additional appearances in the competition, including an impressive 6-0 victory over Norwich City’s under-21s. Impressing with the first team led Davies to earn a League debut for MK where he came on in the 77th minute in a 3-0 defeat away at Peterborough in January 2021. With limited playing time at the start of the 2021/22 season, he was loaned to National League South side Oxford City, where his outstanding performances in defence caught the attention of his parent club. During his loan spell, he featured in 19 games, contributing to 6 clean sheets as part of a solid back three. In the 2022/23 season, Davies embarked on a loan spell at Concord Rangers in the National League South, making 14 appearances before returning to Oxford City for another loan stint in the second half of the season. He played a further 13 games for the club, scoring one goal, and featuring in the play-off semi-final against Worthing to help Oxford City secure promotion to Step 1 for the first time in its history.
