Two New Arrivals at Hebburn
Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One East club Hebburn Town have announced the signing of forward Dean Briggs from new league rivals Ashington for the 2023/24 season.

Briggs scored 6 goals for the Colliers last season as they secured promotion to the Northern Premier League after winning their Inter-Step play-off against Glossop North End. The playmaker has also enjoyed time with Gateshead, Consett and Australian side Holland Park Hawks in his impressive career. England Universities captain Aidan Heywood has also signed for Hebburn. The versatile full-back signs for his home-town club having played at Hebburn as a youngster, as well as currently coaching within the club’s junior ranks. Heywood (pictured), who captains the England Universities squad, previously played under Daniel Moore during a five-year spell with Shildon. The 25-year-old made a total of 162 appearances at Dean Street, and also lists Easington Colliery and Team Northumbria amongst his former clubs.
