The 25-year-old midfielder joined York in June from SkyBet League Two side Grimsby Town.

He had joined the Mariners in January 2022 after his contract at Port Vale was terminated.

He progressed through the academy system at the sadly now defunct Bury FC, penning his first professional contract with the club in the summer of 2015, twelve months after making his debut in a draw away to Morecambe at the age of 16.

After multiple loan spells at the likes of Macclesfield Town, Wrexham, York and a short spell at Norwegian club Bergsoy, he signed for Port Vale in May 2019.

During his time at the Valiants, he made a total of 62 appearances in all competitions, scoring on 4 occasions and was also nominated for the club’s young player of the year for the 2019/20 campaign.
