The
17-year-old signed his first professional contract in the summer following a
landmark personal season in which he became Cambridge's youngest ever
goalscorer and helped the under-18s make a record-equalling FA Youth Cup run to
the fifth round.
Cambridge
head coach Mark Bonner told https://www.cambridge-united.co.uk: "Kai has
had a stop start period since pre-season with injuries but has found some
rhythm in training in the past fortnight and built some good game time in the
youth team.
"We
are now looking forward to seeing him challenged in senior football and securing
a place in Chelmsford's team. If he can do that, it will be a good experience
for him after some encouraging signs since the start of pre-season with us".
