The
25-year-old, who can play in the centre or on the right, joined Dagenham &
Redbridge in July 2018 on a season`s loan from Colchester United before making
the move permanent the following summer after his release by the U’s.
He
started his career with the Luton Town academy before joining Pitching In
Southern League Premier Division Central side Hitchin Town.
An
impressive spell at the Canaries saw him spend four weeks on trial with
Championship outfit Norwich City in the summer of 2017 before signing for
Colchester.
Gills`
manager Neil Harris told https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com: "I am
delighted to welcome Will to the club. He is our first official signing of the
summer; he is a player I have been aware of for a period of time following
references from our recruitment department.
"He
is a player that has potential to improve, and he adds versatility to our
backline; he is comfortable as a right-back or right-side centre-half.
"He
is adaptable to playing in a back three or in a back four and has the
capability to grow as a centre-half over time".
