Striker
Elliott Beddow (pictured) joins from Ebac Northern League First Division side Thornaby.
The
24-year-old scored 31 goals in all competitions last season for the Blues,
including 24 goals in the Northern League to help his side finish third behind
promoted clubs North Shields and Consett.
Beddow
admitted he was pleased to put pen-to-paper and pointed to the continued
ambition of the club as a major factor in his decision to sign for the Anchors.
Beddow
began his senior career at Billingham Town as an 18-year-old in 2016 and was
part of the Town side which pipped Thornaby to the Northern League Second Division
title in 2019.
The
striker then made the move across Teesside to Teesdale Park in 2020 and has
featured against the Anchors for both clubs.
Another
forward, Matty Tymon, arrives from league rivals Marske United.
The
32-year-old had joined the Seasiders in May 2020 following a lengthy spell with
Whitby Town, who he joined in 2011.
He
started his career with Hartlepool United and was loaned to Newcastle Blue Star
before being released by Pools in 2010.
He
played for Workington and West Auckland Town before moving to the Seasiders.
A
third attacker added to Stockton’s ranks is vastly experienced Stephen Thompson.
The
33-year-old joins from Vanarama National League North side Spennymoor Town.
He
had joined the Moors in May 2020 from league rivals Darlington.
He
had been with the Quakers since September 2012 after joining from Northern
League side Durham City.
He
started his career at Middlesbrough but didn’t make a first team appearance,
and then in 2008 moved to Port Vale where he scored twice in 17 appearances.
He
was freed by Vale, and briefly joined AFC Telford United before returning to
the north east in the summer of 2010 with Durham, who were then in the Northern
Premier.
He
was a regular scorer at New Ferens Park before he was transferred in September
2012 to the Quakers.
Midfielder
Cameron Painter joins Stockton from National League North side Blyth Spartans.
The
20-year-old had been with Blyth since June 2021.
Hailing
from Hartlepool, he arrived at Croft Park having spent two years with Grimsby
Town, then in League Two.
During
2020/21, he was loaned to Northern Premier Division One Midlands side Spalding
United before the Covid-19 pandemic brought it to a premature end.
