Veteran
39-year-old goalkeeper Tony McMillan has joined the Bucks from North West
Counties League Premier Division side Longridge Town.
McMillan (pictured) had joined Longridge in the summer following a second spell with Vanarama National
League North outfit Southport, where he returned in October 2020 from Nantwich
Town.
He
had only been with the Dabbers for a month after joining from Northern Premier League
Premier Division rivals Warrington Town, where he had been since November 2016.
He
began in the youth set up at Manchester City. Shortly after, he would move to
his home-town club Wigan Athletic and this was followed by another short stint
at Preston North End.
At
the end of 2000/01, he arrived at Runcorn FC Halton, where he had some
stability at a club side for the first time.
After
four years, moves to Lancaster City and Burscough, were also supplemented with
loan moves to Ashton United, Colwyn Bay and another temporary move at
Lancaster.
A
successful move would follow at Southport, where he accumulated 200 appearances
during his five-year spell, which began in 2008.
Altrincham
swooped for his services, but he soon departed for Barrow and later Stalybridge
Celtic before signing for Warrington.
Also
joining Bootle is 19-year-old Charlie Holland.
