Town, Heanor Town, Long Eaton United, Handsworth Parramore, Stamford AFC, AFC
Mansfield, Spalding United and Hednesford Town.

Counties East League Premier Division at the end of the 2020/21 pandemic-hit

Basford
manager Steve Chettle told https://www.basfordunited.com: “I’m delighted to
have Kieran back with us. Obviously, he’s been with us before and will be very
well-known to the fans and some of the players, too.
“I’ve
known of Kieran for a while but never worked with him. However, I think we’re
all aware of what he can bring; his experience, enthusiasm and style are all
things that he can add to our football club at the minute.
“He’s
a character and knows the league very well,” added Chettle. “He’s played at
this standard with two or three other clubs, including his time here before.
“We
have experience with Aaron O’Connor, but he’s struggled with injuries, and
we’ve had the young ones who have fought really hard for us.
“But
Kieran has that extra bit of know-how, guile, experience and all the tools to
get us back where we want to be.
“He’ll
be someone that’ll is a focal point at the top of the pitch, and we’re hoping
he brings goals with him as well – it’s a real positive to have him back and
we’re all looking forward to working together". |
