The 19-year-old midfielder, who can also play at both full-back positions, is a graduate from the Rotherham United academy but was released from the Millers in the summer of 2021.

As well has receiving a trial from Brentford, Millen spent some time with Steels in pre-season, playing in the friendlies against Stockport Town and Maltby Main. He was then signed by Grantham for a short period of time.

Stocksbridge manager Ian Richards told https://stocksbridgeps.co.uk: “Josh is a technically good footballer with a great range of passing with both feet. Will only develop in training with our already established high-quality midfielders.”

Richards has also signed Sam Scrivens on a month`s loan from Grantham.

The 25-year-old striker is currently contracted to the Gingerbreads where he has made an appearance this month.

Scrivens (pictured) has played for several non-League sides including Emley AFC, Matlock Town and Guiseley AFC.

He is very familiar to Richards as the forward played under him at Penistone Church.

When playing for the Toolstation Northern Counties East League side, he scored over 30 goals in a season which led to Richards saying: “he deserves a chance at full-time football”.
