The 21-year-old had joined Selby in the summer from Bridlington`s league rivals Pickering Town, having arrived at the Pikes in August 2019 via York City and Scarborough Athletic.

He earned a professional contract with the Minstermen in May 2018 after progressing through their youth system.

However, after suffering a long-term injury, York decided to release him, despite having been top scorer for both the reserves and under-18s in 2017/18 before making the step up to the first team.

He played for the Scarborough youth setup prior to signing for York and followed his father, Mike, in playing in Scarborough colours, and he put them back on again by re-joining Boro in July 2020.
