Vastly experienced midfielder Terry Hawkridge (pictured) arrives at the Nottinghamshire outfit for an undisclosed fee from Vanarama National League North side Boston United.

The 31-year-old had joined the Pilgrims in August 2020.

Following youth spells at Barnsley and Tranmere Rovers, he began his senior career at Basford`s NPL Division One Midlands neighbours Carlton Town, before going on to play at Hucknall Town and Gainsborough Trinity.

Six goals in 37 matches with the Holy Blues earned him a move to Scunthorpe United and he was a regular in the team as the Iron gained promotion to League One in 2014.

Next came loan moves to Mansfield Town and then-National League side Lincoln City where, after a promising first season, he signed permanently and became an integral part of Danny Cowley’s Imps who won the National League title in 2016/17.

He then signed for Solihull Moors in January 2019 from Notts County, where he made 35 appearances and scored 3 goals after arriving in May 2017.

He scored 4 goals that season and netted a brace against Macclesfield to seal title with two games to spare.

Fyfe is a talented midfielder who joins from Northern Premier rivals Gainsborough Trinity, where he had been since May 2020 after joining from NPL Division One Midlands side Ilkeston Town.

He impressed Robins' fans with some quality displays, which included winning the league in 2019 securing the title with a hat-trick on the final day.

He was a hot prospect coming through the academy at Notts County, although was released in 2015.

Since then, he has played at other non-League clubs such as Heanor Town and Radford before making the move to Ilkeston.

Basford boss Steve Chettle told https://www.basfordunited.com: “We’re delighted to welcome both Terry and Reco to Basford.

“I worked with Terry during my time at Notts County with the first team and was a big part in the successful play-off season in League Two under Kevin Nolan.

“He also has massive Football League experience with Lincoln City and will bring a wealth of knowledge and skill to our group. He is raring to get started and already knows the majority of the first team squad, so will fit in perfectly.

“Reco joins us after playing at Gainsborough during the last season and with the changes there, he was looking for a new challenge.

“He is a creative attacking striker and has an eye for a goal. We have been hit with injuries in most areas of the pitch and with Callum and Ollie having to be patient in their return, we have brought in some real quality to bolster the group”.
